Inova T1

The Inova T Series are Luxeon LED torches released in the UK in 2005. They have been exceptionally well-reviewed in the USA. The black bodies are made of Type III anodized aluminium. This is much harder than the Type II aluminium used in standard torches.They use a special optical system called the TIROS, or Total Internal Reflection Optical System, designed to collect over 90% of the light produced by the Luxeon LED and project it forward. The LED and anti reflective coated lens combination produces a very bright round beam. The T1 and T2 use a Luxeon I LED and the T3 uses a Luxeon III LED. The T Series is very similar to the very well received Inova X Series, except that they have texturing over the casing for extra grip and a different type of switch. Instead of the tactical switch of the X Series there is a click switch which can also be pressed for momentary light. They are water resistant and protected by an o ring at the tailcap. The T1 takes one 123A lithium battery and the T2 and T3 take two. Batteries are supplied. Battery life is roughly 1.5 hours for the T1, 5 hours for the T2 and 2 hours for the T3.
